WOODBURY, N.J. — According to Webster’s definition, malnutrition is faulty nutrition caused by an unbalanced or inadequate intake of nutrients. Luckily in South Jersey, we have Morgen Backus, the nutritionist who she spent time learning how to keep the human body nutrient filled.

Backus was diagnosed with IBS (irritable bowl syndrome), and due to the medicines being unaffordable, she learned how to not only pay attention to what she puts in her body but how to heal herself. Backus felt empowered once she educated herself on the complexities of her body and stayed away from the things that no longer served it.
Now she shares with others how to pay attention to their bodies and which foods compliment it. Backus loves herbs and colorful vegetables.
“I like to have salmon, some Brussels sprouts, some broccoli and cabbage,” said Backus. “Especially as a female, vegetables for estrogen.”
Ginger shots, vitality tea, and joint anoint oil are just a few of the selections Backus has on her website for women to use for the up keep of their bodies. When it comes to Backus helping people out with fitness goals, people can visit her website where they can schedule an appointment for an initial consultation. She can learn more about your health history and your family’s health history as well as understanding your hunger cues, and there’s a nutrition focused physical exam. The initial consultation lasts for 90 minutes and there’s a follow up appointment that lasts for 45 minutes.
Backus also introduces a food journal that helps track what you eat to ensure the right foods are being consumed and aligning with the fitness goals that are strived for.
Visit www.morgenbackus.com to get your appointment booked and learn how to have her integrated into your routine to help you make positive changes towards your health and body. Morgen Backus is definitely what’s good in South Jersey this week.
