OCEAN CITY, N.J. – Anne Dice is a woman in South Jersey who created an event for authors to shine in several ways, mainly showing their original books.

Dice took the authors to Tabernacle Baptist Church and the event was open to the public, and the authors talked about their books like Chris J. Gregas, who wrote the Triumph over Grief series and how grief is a friend.

“God uses grief and trials in our life for us to lean into them,” said Gregas. “When we lean into it and embrace grief we get through it better and we get through it faster.”

Rodney Barbetto, who wrote God’s formula on Financial Freedom, suggested to readers that sacrificing their money to God will help reap a harvest, and these sacrifices are in the form of the tithe, first fruits, and alms which he details in his book.

“My investments are being blessed,” said Barbetto. “Tithing, first fruit, and alms are three of four ways of giving in the bible that should be followed to see a change not only in your bank account but also in how the average person views their relationship with money.”

The authors who showed up subscribe to the Christian faith and that means most aspire to have an intimate relationship with God. Author Danisha Reed took personal letters she wrote to God and published them. She felt God told her to do so and she obeyed.

“When I was putting it in the manuscript I was thinking about tweaking it,” said Reed. “He didn’t say adjust this and adjust that all he said was publish so to God be the Glory.”

The event was a success because several books were bought and the authors, through their writing, made an impact on people simply by using the skill of writing and sharing from their personal testimonies that may have seemed in vain at the time but had much more bandwidth in the future, especially at this event. It was definitely What’s good in South Jersey!
