BRIDGETON, N.J — Stronger Families hosted a toy giveaway at the Alms Center in Bridgeton with free food along with a DJ for the evening and several gifts for children to unwrap.
“It’s beyond my expectations,” said Program Director for Stronger Families Mary Hadley. “All of these gifts come from various agencies, Gateway, Holly City Success Center, and CASA. We’re very thankful; toys have come from everywhere.”
Gift cards, bicycles, and other toys were fair game for the children and they all took advantage. Fried chicken and green beans along with cupcakes were on the menu for families while Christmas music and family photos were also happening.

Over 150 gifts were disbursed to the children at the event with the intension of making this holiday season as seamless as possible for families like the Cano family who appreciated attending the event.
“I feel good and very blessed and that’s what Christmas is all about, giving is what I think Christmas is all about,” said the Cano family.
