GLASSBORO, N.J. — Morethenmuzik, a local podcast that aims to shed light on local musicians, hosted its Night of Vibes event earlier this week. It featured a wide variety of musical acts from a number of different genres — including hip hop, R&B, and gospel.
“We’re just getting started with the Morethenmuzik Night of Vibes,” Cainaan “No Nonsense” Cooper, the CEO of Morethenmuzik, said. “It’s going to be a series. We’re going to bring artists from all over South Jersey, man, to put them on a platform and let them know they can be themselves.
Morethenmuzik specializes in videography and spotlighting local artists through interviews uploaded to its Facebook page. The Night of Vibes event featured today was also livestreamed on Facebook, and you can watch all of the performances from the night here.
The artists who performed during Sunday night’s event felt welcome and included in the environment Cooper created.
“I don’t just step out on my own. I’m a big believer in seeking the Father for guidance,” Khalia Walters, one of the performing artists as part of the Night of Vibes event, said. “And he stamped this. He put the stamp on Morethenmuzik, he confirmed it, gave me the okay. Cain is no nonsense — just a great dude, so down to earth, so open, and there wasn’t a question.”
