Haddon Twp. to Hold Fourth Annual String Band Parade

HADDON TWP., NJ — The Camden County Board of Commissioners, along with Haddon Township, will hold its fourth annual String Band Parade Down Haddon Ave, featuring the Philadelphia Mummers String Bands on Saturday, April 25, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The Camden County String Band Parade will showcase the glamour and music of Philadelphia Mummers string bands as they march along Haddon Avenue from Crystal Lake to Haddon Square. There will be designated viewing areas along the parade rout for Mummers fans to enjoy performances.

Starting at 4:00 p.m., string bands will begin their march along Haddon Ave. Viewing performance areas along the route includes: Brewers Towne Tavern, Reunion Hall, The Pour House, and Haddon Square.

Following the parade, attendees are invited to continue the celebration at an after-party at Haddon Square from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The after party will feature live music from The Exceptions, along with food, drinks, and activities for all ages.

“This has become a great tradition for Haddon Township,” said Mayor Randall Teague in a press release. “It’s a fun way to bring people together along Haddon Avenue, enjoy the music and energy of the Mummers, and spend time supporting our local restaurants and businesses.”

A rain date of Saturday, May 30, has been scheduled.
