MAYS LANDING, NJ — The Tim Tebow Foundation held an event called Night to Shine highlighting the families that have kids with special needs and Well Spring Church hosted the event on Friday February 13th. Night to Shine is designed to show the love of God to the kids but also to provide a memorable experience and that’s why the church literally rolled out the red carpet for the families to receive high roller status treatment. Each family was greeted with paparazzi and cheerleaders cheering for them along with their picture taken and a live band playing familiar songs, setting the mood for the arrival of royalty.

Jessica Stoop is the coordinator of this event and she’s passionate about making sure kids with special needs do not feel neglected or forgotten; she encourages embracing kids with special needs and their unique abilities.

“Champion their abilities,” says Stoop.

The parents were in good hands as well because they were served dinner and had the option of receiving massages as well as hearing an encouraging word from the pastors because the night was also designed to lighten the load of a parent for a few hours.

Coordinator Liz Shendock says parents sometimes are forgotten too.

“We want to make sure they’re shown the love just as much as our honored guests,” says Shendock.

Dinner was being served and the kids took pictures with Spiderman, Captain America, and Cinderella as several church volunteers dressed in costume as some iconic fictional characters for the kids.

The night ended with a crowning, the kids were acknowledged as royalty and valuable, reinforcing God’s love for them. Well Spring Church is definitely what’s good in South Jersey. Visit them at 601 Babcock Road in Mays Landing on Sundays at 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. and Wednesday’s at 7 p.m.
