EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ- Imagine going to church on Sunday morning and directly after service you can get your blood pressure checked out. If you attended Coastal Christian Church with Pastor Matthew Stokes on Sunday February 8, this happened. Coastal Christian’s emergency response team decided to serve their congregation with checking blood pressure. Pastor Matthew Stokes said it’s another way to connect with people.

“This is another way of contact with the people,” said Stokes. “We’re letting people know that we care.”

CJ Kaczmarski is a member of the emergency response team at the church and he volunteered as one of the blood pressure checkers emphasizing that doing this after church was a great idea.

“Blood pressure is often referred to as the silent killer” said Kaczmarski. “It’s good to take the preventative action make sure we’re doing what we need to do to take care of ourselves.”
