VINELAND, NJ – In the Bible it reads, “Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips” (Proverbs 27:2 NKJV), and the people at Pipco Transportation and F&S Fresh Foods were praising Parrish Gould because after three decades of faithfully hauling trailers full of fresh produce and other goods across the country, he’s decided  the time is right to retire.

Gould delivered to Tennessee post Hurricane Helene last year and drove a truck full of supplies to assist with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, volunteering to be the driver for both trips.

Gould is a man of faith and his faith informs most of his decisions personally and professionally, that’s why he volunteers for driving in response to the natural disasters and delivering loads of supplies.

“When we’re in a situation like the hurricanes and the fires, that’s not a New Orleans issue or a L.A. issue, that’s an us, U.S.A. issue,” said Gould.

F&S Fresh Foods is associated with bands like Motts, Green Giant, and Sam’s Fresh Salsa, and when anyone asks Gould about what the secret is to why New Jersey produces great sweet corn and awesome blueberries, he credits it to New Jersey’s soil.

“The soil is chemically balanced,” said Gould.

The question is what is it about Pipco Transportation and F&S Fresh Foods that made Gould stay loyal to the brand for thirty years, and he simply said Pipco Transportation and F&S Fresh Foods simply does the things other companies don’t.

“I looked at all the trucking companies and what we had versus what other companies had, we have a company that produces high quality and a high demand product that’s delivered to the north east sector of the U.S and southern regions, that’s what’s kept me.” said Gould.

Parrish Gould is definitely What’s Good in South Jersey. Watch the full interview with Gould below as he shares more about his 35 year career with Pipco Transportation and F&S Fresh Foods. To see more episodes of What’s Good, click here for Follow South Jersey’s YouTube channel.
