OAKLYN, N.J. — The Oaklyn Civic Association put on an event called “Clash on Clinton” where the sport of wrestling was celebrated and some of South Jersey’s finest wrestlers came out to participate.

Exhibition matches taking place in the middle of a parking lot on West Clinton Avenue made wrestling coach representing Collingswood Middle School and High School, Vince Angelucci, say the event is a great first event.

“This is a good community event,” says Angelucci. “Waters and t-shirts, all money raised goes to the Oaklyn Civic Association and I can see this event happening again.”

Wrestlers from other areas of South Jersey were in attendance including Audubon Township, Haddon Township, and Gloucester City sprawling their way into competing in this event that was the first of its kind.

Wrestling coaches in attendance did not coach any wrestler due to staying in compliance with the NJSIAA rules for wrestlers not being coached during off season. This event drew a huge crowd and gave youth something positive to do on a Sunday afternoon making it definitely What’s Good in South Jersey this week!
