BRIDGETON, N.J. — The time has come to highlight the small businesses in downtown Bridgeton, so Bridgeton Chamber of Commerce along with Urban Enterprise Zone and The Main Street Association decided to collaborate and highlight downtown Bridgeton’s finest establishments.
Inka Chicken owned by Hector Bonilla is one of the newest restaurants in Bridgeton located at 22 South Laurel Street and provides Peruvian rotisserie chicken, something other restaurants in Bridgeton do not have.
Bonilla is taking his shot at being an entrepreneur with Inka Chicken, and he claims the community is enjoying the product very well.
“It’s made with charcoal nobody around here does it, no one,” said Bonilla. “It’s a different taste plus the smoke and the seasoning you’ll never taste it like that anywhere.”

La Bonita is a new ice cream shop in Bridgeton owned by Marisol Perez located at 32 East Commerce Street. They make smoothies, milkshakes, and ice cream sundaes; each item on the menu is the owner’s favorite order to create. The best part about this store is that it’s a convenience store as well so if you want ice cream and if you ran out of milk for the house, La Bonita is ready to serve you.

Stilos Barber Shop and Salon is located at 14 South Laurel Street and is the place to come to get a fresh shape up or any style you desire, according to the owner Elizabeth Pelaez.
“Make the customer feel they’re at home,” said Pelaez. “They travel from an hour away just to come here because of the way we treat them and leaving happy then recommending other people that’s the best feeling.”
The City of Bridgeton is definitely What’s Good in South Jersey, but also they are about their business. Businesses like La Bonita and Inka Chicken along with Stilos Barber shop and Salon look as if they plan to stick around for a while, so let’s do our best to support them, South Jersey, because of how well they serve us.
