CAMDEN, N.J. — Camden mayor Frank Moran announced on Wednesday that weekly trash collection will resume in the city beginning on October 1.
The city’s current recycling schedule won’t change, and all eight of the city’s districts will have their trash collected once a week through April 30, 2021. You can find out which trash collection district you live in by visiting the Camden Department of Public Works’ website or by contacting the DPW by phone at (856) 757-7139.
Below is the trash collection schedule from October 1 through April 30 of next year:
- Monday: Districts 1 and 6
- Tuesday: Districts 2, 7, and 8
- Wednesday: District 3
- Thursday: District 4
- Friday: District 5
Camden will resume its biweekly trash collection schedule on May 1, 2021, and that will last until September 30 of next year. You can find next year’s collection schedule below:
- Monday: Districts 1, 4, 6, and 8
- Tuesday: Districts 2, 5, and 7
- Wednesday: District 3
- Thursday: Districts 1, 4, 6, and 8
- Friday: Districts 2, 5, and 7
- Saturday: District 3
The town would also like to remind residents that electronic waste items such as old TVs and computers can’t be taken along with regular trash. If you need to get rid of old electronics, you can schedule a pick-up time with the Department of Public Works by calling it at (856) 757-7132 or (856) 757-7139.
