“The Live Heroic 5K and 1 Mile Walk is a family-friendly event that we look forward to each year,” said Michael Gower, Executive Director of the United Way of Gloucester County. “This event would not be possible without all the local heroes, including the event sponsors, the runners and walkers, and the volunteers who worked so hard to make this event a success.”

The 7th Annual Live Heroic 5K and 1 Milk Walk was an opportunity to unite athletes of all abilities to help fight villains such as food insecurity, poverty and illiteracy. Participants were encouraged to wear their best superhero attire or t-shirt.

The top three finishers for the 5K were Michael Daigeaun in first place, Charles McLaughlin in second place and Thomas Kleinhans in third place. The first-place runner received a “Bread for a Year” certificate donated by Panera Bread.
