
CAMDEN, N.J – The Campbell Soup Company has announced grants to 31 nonprofit organizations across the country in the amount of $595,000 in total.
“The Campbell Soup Foundation is a powerful community partner not only in Camden but in many Campbell hometown communities,” Kim Fortunato, President, Campbell Soup Foundation and Director, Community Affairs said in a press release from the company. “In addition to financial support, we are proud of our robust volunteer engagement program that supports our community partners in a variety of ways. Congratulations to this year’s outstanding recipients who are making a significant impact in their local communities.”
One of the grant recipients is After-School-All-Stars, a Camden based nonprofit organization that provides an hour of health and fitness after-school activities for kids.
Other Camden based grantees include: Camden Health and Athletic Association, Camden Lutheran Housing, Cathedral Kitchen, The Center for Environmental Transformation, Respond, Inc., Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey, Saint Joseph’s Carpenter Society, The Trust for Public Land, UrbanPromise, and Vetri Community Partnership.
The Campbell Soup Foundation, founded in 1953 and employee run, supports nonprofit organizations which reside in communities where Campbell Soup Company has plants. Campbell employees nominate nonprofits that “inspire positive change in communities.”
