
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.- The Atlantic City Beach Patrol Benevolent Organization, with support of the City of Atlantic City, is hosting an inaugural fundraising event at Bader Field & the Bay in Atlantic City on Saturday, May 18th beginning at 12 p.m.
The “Race to Summer” boat races and lifeguard social welcomes supporters and lifeguards from all beach patrols, their families, friends, and any of those interested in enjoying a day of races, food and fun on the back bays of Atlantic City for a good cause.
“Atlantic City beaches are our treasure as are our children,” Mayor Frank M. Gilliam, Jr. said in a press release. “We couldn’t be more excited to have our own Junior Lifeguard Camp in Atlantic City this summer.”
The event will feature live music by Brother Jerome, The Flynn’s and Billy McMennamin, Mad Dog Morgan’s food truck, dessert trucks, a beer & wine garden, and a lifeguard themed Kids Zone.
The race course will be staged at Bader Field and the bay and the start and finish lines will be situated in the main event area.
Tickets are $12 with all of the proceeds going to the new Jr. Lifeguard Day Camps that will be held on the beaches of Atlantic City this coming July and August.
