
Two South Jersey towns are looking to become America’s most popular historic small town.
Cape May and Haddonfield have made it to USA Today’s list for Favorite Historic Small Town. Haddonfield currently is sitting at 7th place while Cape May is standing at 17th place.
According to 10best.com, Cape May is one of the oldest resort towns in the country with around 600 preserved 19th-century buildings. The whole city is also recognized as a National Historic District.
Haddonfield is one of the oldest communities in the region and was established by European settlers in the late 1600s. Also, the first nearly complete dinosaur skeleton was found in Haddonfield in the 1800s.
