BRIDGETON, N.J. – The energy in the air was set to another level on Saturday, October 25, when The Boo at the Zoo took place at the Cohanzick Zoo because the place hosted nearly 3000 people at once.
The Boo at the Zoo is an annual event in Bridgeton for families to enjoy activities at the Cohanzick Zoo for free, and there were costume contests, mini petting zoo’s, and nonprofits that handed out candy along with stickers and miscellaneous items for kids to take home.
John Medica Recreation, the public affairs person for the City of Bridgeton, says he’s pleased with the turn out of the event. “Every year we try to make it better than the year before,” said Medica.
House of Cupcakes brought their food truck from Princeton to vend at the event along with Games on the Go NJ brought their gaming truck out for the kids to play video games intensifying the fun. Greater Bridgeton’s Women’s Club also set up a table to inform the people about what they do along with handing out fun accessories for the kids to take home.
