SALEM, N.J. – The Salem Building Arts Center (SBAC), a new hub for creativity, skill-building, and community connection, will host a Ribbon Cutting and Open House on Saturday, August 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The celebration begins with a ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a lively Open House featuring tours, workshops/demonstrations, food, and family-friendly activities. The event is free and open to the public. The event will feature key speakers and information regarding SBAC’s exciting new programming.
“We’re excited to open our doors and invite the community to experience the energy and opportunity SBAC brings to Salem,” Melissa Payner-Skinner, Director of the Salem Building Arts Center, said. “This event is about recruiting local talent, uplifting our youth, and creating pathways to trades, arts, and entrepreneurship.”
The SBAC is part of a broader effort to provide accessible resources and programs for residents of Salem County, especially young people pursuing hands-on career pathways and creative industries.
Local officials, business leaders, and community partners are encouraged to attend and support this addition to Salem’s growing network of community-focused institutions.
