SALEM, N.J. — Hopeloft, Community Promise Academy (CPA), and First Baptist Church of Salem (FBCOS) hosted its first ever Pumpkin Painting Palooza on Saturday, October 19, at the First Baptist Church in Salem.

The wholesome harvest event had a 71 children from CPA and the church community attend. Ages ranged from babies with pacifiers all the way up to teenagers.
FBCOS Pastor Michelle Jones said that managing an event with so many children painting, she said she didn’t need to do much.

“The children were happy, engaged, careful not to make a mess, and encouraging toward one another,” she said. “It was an absolute joy to have them. We even invited them all to breakfast the following day.”
Each child painted a pumpkin and were served a dinner of pizza and snacks. Pastor Jones along with the discipleship class at FBCOS will be making and delivering candy bags to the children this week.
“We are so grateful to Hopeloft for supplying the pumpkins, food and amazing adults to help,” Pastor Jones said. “We only had four pumpkins left over and zero pizza!”
