CAPE MAY, N.J. — Saying good-bye to the summer doesn’t have to be a downer. Cape May has a Labor Day Weekend filled with activities that send summer out with a blast.

The weekend begins with the Rich Reinhart Junior Clamshell Pitching Tournament where children from ages 6 to 17 will get a chance to compete tossing clamshells into small holes. The tournament takes place on Friday, August 30, on Windsor Beach across from Congress Hall in Cape May. Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. and the tournament starts at noon. The tournament is free.
Cape May’s Annual “Summer Send Off” concert will be on Sunday, September 1 on the Convention Hall deck. The featured act, local favorite Fat Mezz, will be performing from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. After the concert, there will be a movie on the beach featuring Endless Summer.
Additionally, a variety of free concerts will be held in Rotary Park beginning at 7:00 p.m. located at 400 Lafayette Street. Bringing a blanket or chair is recommended as seating is limited. The weekend lineup includes:
Friday, August 30th – Hannah Stone
Saturday, August 31st – The Raggamuffins
Sunday, September 1st – Originaire
Monday, September 2nd – The John Walter Cape Community Band
