What’s Good – ‘Jaws Youth Playbook Donates Bikes to Local At-Risk Youth’

Video and reporting by: Isaiah Showell

VINELAND, N.J. — Jaws Youth Playbook (JYP) has collaborated with the Cumberland County YMCA for the second-annual “Jaws Bike Drive,” which will provide bikes for at-risk youth in the community.

Former Eagles Quarterback Ron Jaworski and his wife, Liz Jaworski, founded JYP as a way to give back. This year, their work will ensure that approximately 400 at-risk youth receive a bicycle just in time for Christmas — with about 200 in our area getting a bike, and another 200 in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Over 20 volunteers showed up at the Cumberland YMCA to help put the donated bikes together and create “swag bags” containing a helmet and bike lock to be delivered with each bike.

Isaiah Showell stopped by to talk to the Jaworskis, as well as some of the volunteers about what these bikes mean to them.
