BRIDGETON, N.J. — After heavy rain caused a historic wall on Commerce Street in Bridgeton to collapse, community members came together to rebuild it and make it strong enough to last another 150 years. As this project nears completion, the residents living above the wall would like to thank everyone involved and to remind the entire Bridgeton community that there is more work to be done to restore the city.
Isaiah Showell stopped by the site of the wall’s restoration to speak with Sandy Feddema, Jeff Fogg, and Flavia Alaya, the head of the Center for Historic American Building Arts (CHABA).
