NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. — Officials from North Wildwood announced last week that the city will receive a grant worth over $35,000 from the New Jersey Department of Homeland Security.
North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello said on Friday, September 6, that the NJ Department of Homeland Security 2018 Assistance to Firefighters Grant totaling $35,485.71 will allow the Fire Department to purchase 46 sets of Personal Safety and Rescue Bailout Systems.
“I would like to personally thank the New Jersey Department of Homeland Security for their acceptance of our grant application for the Assistance to Firefighters grant,” Rosenello said in a press release. “This grant will help ensure that our firefighters are well equipped and trained to help our residents and homeowners.”
The 46 systems will be for all current career, part-time and interior structural volunteer firefighters; and will include training for all members.
