SOMERS POINT, N.J. — This Saturday, Somers Point will be hosting the 42nd annual Good Old Day Festival to say farewell to summer.
The festival will have antique cars on display, children’s entertainment including carnival games, inflatables, a magician, pony rides, karate demonstrations, as well as K-9 demonstrations, over 20 vendors and community groups, food, and treats including hot dogs and hamburgers fresh from the grill.
The Good Old Day Festival will take place at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Park located at 24 Broadway on Saturday, September 7 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Two different stages will have free live musical performances featuring The Hawkins Road Coconutz and The Dan Burke with guest star Lew London.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lawrence “Bud” Kern Scholarship Foundation. Established in 1979 in honor of Lawrence “Bud” Kern, former Recreation Commission Chairperson and Little League President, the fund recognizes graduating Somers Point high school students who have demonstrated community spirit and pride through their involvement in civic and scholastic activities while displaying a singular dedication to a purpose.
