Cooper Foundation Kicks-Off 10th Annual Summer in the City Music Festival

CAMDEN, N.J. – The Cooper Foundation of Cooper University Health Care will begin its free Summer in the City Music Festival in the Park in Sheila L. Roberts Park on July 23rd beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The 10th annual music festival will feature three performances held over three weeks culminating in a special National Night Out concert will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6th. 

According to the Cooper Foundation, the goal of The Summer in the City Music Festival is to bring the community together while showcasing the neighborhood parks and positive changes in the Cooper Plaza and Lanning Square neighborhoods.

The 10th annual festival is a joint collaboration of The Cooper Foundation, Cooper’s Ferry Partnership, Cooper Lanning Civic Association and Lanning Square West Residents in Action. Co-sponsors include the City of Camden, Garden State Discovery Museum and Camden Special Services District.

In addition to the music, children and families can enjoy bubble fun and face painting by the Garden State Discovery “On the Go” Museum. Rita’s will also be serving water ice.

All concerts begin at 5:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public. The rain date for all concerts is Tuesday, Aug. 13th.
