Cape May County Residents Can Now Sign Up for a Monthly E-Newsletter

CAPE MAY COUNTY, N.J. – Cape May County residents and visitors can now sign up for monthly e-newsletter featuring news updates from the county government.

“Since I have become Freeholder Director, I have wanted to make it easier for the community to interact with us,” Cape May County Freeholder Director Gerald M. Thornton said in a press release. “The Freeholder Board has made a number of important steps to accomplish this. We are always looking for new ideas to engage with the community.”

To sign up, go to capemaycountynj.gov, click “Sign in” on the right-hand corner of the website and create an account. From there you can choose what updates to sign up for.

The e-newsletter is emailed out on the first week of every month to those interested in upcoming events in the county.

Over 1,000 people received the June edition of the newsletter that included stories about tourism revenue increasing in 2018, highlights from the county’s Memorial Day ceremony, and more. Updates in upcoming months will come from the various County departments, like the Cape May County Zoo, Health Department, Engineer’s Department, and more.

“This newsletter will provide a snapshot of all of the services and news that the County residents need to know about,” Thornton said. “We have a lot going on as a County and it is our job to find different ways to get the information out there.”
