On Monday, April 29th, Camden Mayor Frank Moran, Camden County Freeholder Jeffrey Nash, and Cooper’s Ferry Partnership President and CEO Kris Kolluri alongside leaders from ResinTech, Inc., celebrated the company’s decision to relocate its headquarters to the city of Camden.
The company plans to employ 265 workers after opening a $1.38.8 million, solar-powered building in the summer of 2020 and aims to employ over 400 people when the building aches peak capacity.
“We’re so excited to embark on the next step of this journey with our new neighbor and partner, ResinTech,” said Camden Mayor Frank Moran. “ResinTech is bringing more than just its headquarters and well-paying jobs – it is bringing further innovation, opportunity and fresh energy to Camden.”
“ResinTech is proud to be ‘onshoring’ by bringing production of Ion Exchange Resins to Camden, New Jersey, and to provide much-needed capacity to the US marketplace,” said Jeffrey Gottlieb, CEO of ResinTech. “Our state-of-the-art plant will produce cation resin and other products specifically designed for the US market by eliminating solvent, which prevents leeching into drinking water. Our efforts represent the first new fully integrated plant in North America in more than 30 years and will provide many new work opportunities for Camden residents.
ResinTech manufactures products used for water purification for a variety of market segments, and its products are used in all 50 U.S. states and over 100 countries. The company wants to bring the manufacturing of ion exchange resins back to the state.
The new campus includes the construction of two buildings on parcels of land totaling approximately 27 acres. The building at 18th and Federal streets will be 163,000 square feet with planned expansion to 180,000 square feet, and it will be dedicated to the production of ion exchange resins and activated carbons, as well as the manufacturing of filter cartridges and lab water systems. The building on State and River roads will be 175,000 square feet and dedicated to packaging and production operations.

ResinTech’s new buildings are targeted for completion by June 2020.
