NEWFIELD — There’s a shed in Newfield that’s pretty popular in South Jersey and it’s called Little White Shed & Co. Candle making classes take place there, and date nights also take place there with a strict bring your own booze policy encouraging fun and relaxation.

Co-owned by Ally Sanchez and Alyssa Ferrucci, Little White Shed & Co is a place where they want customers to feel at home.

“We want people to feel like they don’t want to leave,” said Ferrucci. “Like you’re in your own home.”

They started the business in 2020 as Country Moon Candle, but the name changed to stay true to the origin story. The first candles this business created were in their white shed at home, and the name stuck.

Both Ally and Alyssa encourage customers to bring their significant others to come and try their spot out because of the memories they can make by creating their own scented candle.

The allotted time for a class is an hour and a half due to some customers needing more time than others. Once you enter the space you’re seated by an instructor who then shows you to all the scents, grab a jar, and bring the wax and fragrance oils to your table. After all the ingredients are on your table you whisk candle wax and fragrance oil for 20 to 30 seconds, then you wait approximately 30 minutes for your candle to be pulled out of the freezer. Then you must wait 48 hours before lighting your candle is recommended for the strongest scent.

Little White Shed & Co in Newfield is definitely what’s good in South Jersey this week!
