HADDON TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The Haddon Township Equity Initiative (HTEI) is hosting its fifth pride month celebration with this year’s title, HT Pride 2025: Choose Joy. The event is a three day celebration from June 5 to June 7 including a walk, parade, plus more.

Pride month is celebrated every June to honor and commemorate the LGBTQIA+ community, their history, and their breakthroughs.

HTEI wants to preach joy for this year’s celebration with events dedicated to community, love, and visibility. HTEI President, Isis Williams, describes this event as “super family friendly” and says it is about “accepting and celebrating each other.”

To her Pride month is a time to create a space of acceptance and “showing up for one another.”

Attendees can enjoy live music and performances from artists, musicians, and local talent like Ariel Versace, Aunt Mary Pat, and Bear Trap on Thursday, June 5, from 6-10 p.m. along Haddon Avenue.

On Friday, June 6, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Haddon Square, HT Pride + Progress Community Night attendees will have a chance to learn LGBTQ+ history and acknowledge the achievements of LGBTQ+ pioneers.

On Saturday, June 7, HTEI plans to host a Drag Queen Story Hour at a yet-to-be-announced location in Haddon Township.

Williams says there’s no one you can’t be at HT Pride and invites everyone to attend.

Haddon Square is located at 51 Haddon Avenue in Haddon Township.
