WILDWOOD N.J. — DaJohn Taylor, 18, stabbed and killed Kaiden Braithwaite, 20, after an physical altercation and argument on East Magnolia Ave in Wildwood, N.J. on June 11, 2023.
Taylor turned himself in to the Wildwood police on June 12 after previously fleeing the scene and was charged with murder, attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses. He was then lodged in the Cape May Correctional Facility awaiting his court proceedings.
Wildwood police officers found Braithwaite, of Clifford, dead from multiple stab wounds around 2:33 a.m. and two other stab wound victims. It is unknown of the other stab wound victim’s condition. An initial investigation found that a group of people were walking around 2:15 a.m. and had an argument with a second group standing on a porch on 307 East Magnolia Ave Wildwood, N.J. The leading to the conflict is unknown. If Taylor is found guilty of his crimes he could receive up to 30 years of prison time.
“This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be filed,” police said.
