WILDWOOD, N.J. — The beaches in the Wildwoods will continue their lifeguard services beyond Labor Day this year. Depending on your location in Wildwood, services will be available for the majority of September.

North Wildwood’s services will be available until September 27. Their lifeguards will monitor the beach every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until September 20. North Wildwood Beach Patrol headquarters will have a response team ready, if needed, for the following weekend.

Wildwood Crest is continuing its lifeguard services until the 27th, as well. Multiple beach locations, including Buttercup-Lavender, Aster, Wisteria, Fern, Primrose, Stockton-Stanton, Louisville-Miami, Denver-Syracuse, Pittsburgh-Charleston, and Washington-Jefferson, will provide lifeguard assistance from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until September 13.

Transport for those who are handicapped will be available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day until the 13th, as well. After that, a response team will be available for emergencies on the weekends until the final weekend of September.

Until September 13, the City of Wildwood beaches will be guarded daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and beach taxis will also be available through that time.

September seems to be the final month to get your swim in at the Wildwood beaches as summer comes to a close.
