Vineland Man Shot, Family Dog Killed in Home Invasion

VINELAND, N.J. — Officials from the Vineland Police Department Detective Bureau are asking for the public’s help in a home invasion investigation that left one man shot and a family dog dead.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 1st, at around 3:43 p.m., at the 1000 block of Sunset Avenue. During this time a 22-year-old male resident was shot one time in the face and a family dog was also shot and killed.

A female resident was also home at the time, she was uninjured.

The male resident was treated by Vineland EMS and later transported to Cooper Medical Center where he is currently in critical but stable condition.

There is currently no description of the accused subject or subjects. Detectives are looking to speak with anyone in the area os Sunset Ave, N. Mill Rd., and Pine Grove Ave who may have video surveillance during the incident.
