CHERRY HILL, NJ — Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital hosted Champion Your Health on Sunday, January 18. The program is a community-wide wellness event designed to help community members learn, move and take charge of their health.

The walk-through wellness experience featured various health screenings, healthy food samplings, live exercise demonstrations, weight management presentations, raffles and prizes and a “teddy bear clinic” where children learned how to use a stethoscope and conduct a routine check-up.

Eagles legend Seth Joyner, further inspired participants to reach their health goals by sharing wellness tips and taking photos with attendees along with a few Eagles cheerleaders.

The Champion Your Health wellness event served as the launch of a Community Wellness Challenge in collaboration with Cherry Hill Mayor David Fleisher, encouraging residents to take simple, practical steps toward healthier lifestyles while strengthening our shared commitment to wellness.

“The Mayor’s Community Wellness Challenge is centered around wellness and health for our entire community,” Mayor Fleisher said in a press release from the hospital. “In order to accomplish that, we needed a special partner, and Jefferson Health stepped up to do that. A true community is defined by its neighbors and the people who call it home. And Jefferson Health is a true partner and a true neighbor to all of us here in Cherry Hill, promoting health, promoting wellness right here in our backyard.”

“Champion Your Health was a wonderful opportunity to interact with the community and provide access to the information and the community resources that can really improve the health of our family members, friends, and neighbors,” Aaron Chang, President of Jefferson Health- East, said.  “Jefferson was happy to partner with all the community services and organizations, especially with the Cherry Hill Mayor’s Office, to do this fantastic event, and we hope to do these and more and more in the future.”
