PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – Just Like That restaurant is a hidden gem that offers unique dishes for affordable prices. The menu features Hibachi, Rasta Pastas, Tacos, Alfredo dished, and Wings. There is also a long list of specials to choose from.
We were greeted by the owner, who checked on us throughout our stay to ensure that we were enjoying our meal.

Robert Davis, 50, owns the restaurant with his wife, Janene Davis. His journey in the kitchen began with a plate of grits. He then learned to perfect his craft by cooking with his grandmother. Before opening the restaurant, Davis had his own catering business for almost ten years.
“For me it’s like a connection with my grandma,” said Davis. “When I’m cooking, it’s like I’m doing it with her.”
We started off with some Garlic Butter Rolls and Bang Tots. I would have been satisfied with just these two appetizers. The rolls were buttery and coated in a nice seasoning. The tots were tossed in their house sauce and each bite was crisp and juicy.
While we waited for our entrees to come out, we vibed to the playlist playing through the speakers.
The chicken hibachi came with rice and veggies and sauce. The alfredo and rasta pasta were very creamy and went well with the chicken and shrimp we chose. The tacos and wings came with more Bang Tots, sweet! The Honey Hot wings were cooked to perfection and I’m looking forward to trying more flavors in the future.
With my party of six, our total was under $100. These days, it’s not easy to find a restaurant that is budget friendly with great quality food.
Davis has owned this restaurant for almost two years now. He encourages anyone with a dream to keep following it and never let obstacles overcome them.
“Don’t give up on your dreams,” said Davis. “Even if it fails, you’re not a failure. It’s a learning process, you come back. Stick with it. There’s gonna be a lot of hard times. But you gotta go through it because that’s what’s gonna make you. The hard times are what builds you.”
Just Like That restaurant is located at 5245 Marlton Pike W Unit E in Pennsauken. They can be contacted at (856) 324-0352.
