Eligible Atlantic County Low-Income Seniors Offered $50 Credit For Fresh Produce

MAYS LANDING, N.J. — The Atlantic County Division of Intergenerational Services will provide a $50 credit for eligible, low-oncome Atlantic County residents 60 years or older for fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs at participating farmers markets starting July 1 and running through November 29.

Eligibility guidelines which are established by the state include annual gross income that does not exceed $2,322 per month or $27,261 per year for a single person and $3,152 per month or $37,814 annually for a couple.

Those eligible will receive a QR code that can be used at the time of purchases and will automatically track spending and remaining balances. QR codes are not transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. The $50 credit can be used all at once or in multiple purchases. Participation is on a first come, first serve basis.

Residents may call 1-888-426-9243 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. to request participation.
