GLASSBORO, N.J. – Ralph Carr, 35, was shot in the leg approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, by youth in the Glassboro area. Carr was preventing his son from associating with the crowd of kids and as a result the kids released five gunshots with one connecting to Carr’s leg.
Carr is thankful he is still alive and states initially he was unaware that he was shot; he only felt as if his leg was wet. A text from Rowan University was sent to the student body cautioning them to avoid Wilmer Street while the police investigated the situation. Police discovered that some bullet holes were made in neighbors’ homes on the same street, but no one suffered any injuries.
