SEWELL, N.J. — The Gloucester County Board of Commissioners and Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ)’s Student Veterans Association will hold the 2021 Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11 at Rowan College at Gloucester County beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The hour-long ceremony will feature Semper Fidelis Color Guard, Camden County Emerald Society Pipes & Drums, and remarks from student veteran Corporal Vinu Joseph who served as a U.S. Marine and is a current RCSJ student. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism. Warriors’ Watch Riders will also make an appearance at the 2021 ceremony.

Commissioner Director Robert M. Damminger said the ceremony is to honor county residents who served the country.

“The ceremony is held to honor the bravery, sacrifice, and courage of our veterans who served our country,” Damminger said. “I encourage anyone who can attend to join us either in person by RSVPing or online to thank our veterans for their service and for making and keeping our great nation what it is today.”

Liaison to Veterans Affairs, Commissioner Dan Christy, said the ceremony is not only a privilege, but a responsibility.

“We believe it is a privilege and our responsibility to support and provide care to those who served our country,” Christy said. “Our veterans have answered our country’s call and it’s extremely important to our county to take time to reflect and remember their sacrifice.”

The Student Veterans Organization will also honor those who served our country and now serve as faculty and staff at Rowan College at Gloucester County.
