GLASSBORO, N.J. — The Glassboro Police Department and other local authorities are seeking information regarding the bomb threat at Rowan University that was reported on Tuesday morning.
Gloucester County communications received a call at approximately 10:44 a.m. on Tuesday indicating that there were several explosives placed at a number of undetermined locations on or around Rowan University’s campus. Evacuations were made almost immediately after this call came in, but the university and its surrounding campuses were deemed safe later in the afternoon.

Rowan University police finished their inspection of all buildings at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, which is when authorities decided that all campuses were safe to return. A spokesman for the university said that only a “few” students living on campus were told to evacuate, as most summer session classes are being held remotely this year.
Since the threat has been eradicated, the Glassboro Police Department and Gloucester County Prosecutor’s office are now conducting an investigation into the incident. Anyone with information regarding the bomb threats can call (856) 881-1500 to provide it to the authorities.
