WESTVILLE, N.J. — The Victory in Christ Christian Center hosted a COVID-19 vaccine clinic in partnership with the state of New Jersey’s “Grateful for the Shot” program. Community members could receive their doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine model at this particular clinic.

As New Jersey’s effort to inoculate community members shifts to the local level, programs like “Grateful for the Shot” create partnerships between the state and religious institutions. The religious institutions that are working with New Jersey as part of this program are in the process of educating community members about the vaccine and holding clinics such as the one held in Westville.

“We feel that it’s our responsibility to take care of the people in this community and surrounding,” Michelle Johnston, the Chief Ministry Officer of the Victory in Christ Christian Center, said. “We want to make sure people are well taken care of.”
