GLASSBORO, N.J. — Rowan University received recognition from Study.com after ranking No. 4 on the website’s “2021 Best Degrees in Public Relations” list.
The university placed right behind Murray State University and the University of Colorado-Boulder. The website’s editors noted that many of Rowan’s instructors hold an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) and focus on research in their courses. They also pointed out Rowan’s PR program existing for more than 50 years.
Public relations wasn’t the only Rowan program to be honored. Rowan’s Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management ranked No. 21 on the website’s “Best Bachelor’s Degrees” list. Study.com praised the university for giving students hands-on opportunities through student-run organizations and internships. It even gave a shout-out to graduates who have found jobs in well-known organizations like Goldman Sachs, Lockheed Martin, and the United States Navy.
Study.com offers a variety of resources — including video courses — to help users find schools that best suit them. The website looked at hundreds of colleges in the nation and narrowed it down to the 50 schools that best exemplified these factors: academic and career resources, the quality of education, faculty, extracurricular opportunities, relative location, cost and accessibility.
Students majoring in Public Relation receive their BA from Rowan’s Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts. Students in human resources management receive their BS from the Rohrer College of Business.
