CCTEC’s Interact Club Partners with Salvation Army to Provide Presents for 200 Local Children

VINELAND, N.J. — The Cumberland County Technical Education Center’s (CCTEC) Interact Club has partnered with the Vineland Salvation Army to sponsor 200 children this Christmas. On Thursday, Dec. 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., a Salvation Army coordinator will collect toys donated by students and faculty at CCTEC.

Over the past month, students and faculty at CCTEC purchased, collected, and organized over 200 gifts for children in need of toys this holiday season. CCTEC’s Interact Club will be helping load the Salvation Army vans to transport the gifts.

CCTEC wants to remind everyone in the community that the holidays are not only a time of receiving, but also a time of giving to the less fortunate.

According to the CCTEC website, the Interact Club “gives high school students the chance to make a real difference while having fun. Every Interact Club carries out two service projects a year: one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding.”
