
CARNEYS POINT, N.J. — The sounds of the holidays will fill the Sol and Jean Davidow Performing Arts Theatre at Salem Community College when the SCC Oak Singers present “Winter’s Light – A Holiday Concert” on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.
Oak Singers is directed by Kahlil V. Gunther and accompanied by Misty Fiske. The program will feature a variety of concert selections including excerpts from Bach’s Magnificat and an arrangement of “In Bethlehem Neath Starlit Skies.” The program is rounded out by holiday favorites such as “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear,” “Rise Up Shepherds” and “Let it Snow,” followed by a rousing finale performance of “God Bless Us Everyone.”
The Salem High School Ram Singers will perform as a guest ensemble in the program under the direction of Renee Murray. General admission tickets are $7 at the door. Ample free parking is available, and the hall is handicap accessible.
The concert is made possible by a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts through the Salem County Board of Freeholders and Salem County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
