ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Work on new bike lanes will start later this month in Atlantic City, due to new grant funding.
Construction of the new bike lanes will begin on Atlantic Avenue from Albany Avenue to Jackson Avenue. The bike lanes will connect to existing bike lanes in Ventnor City, Margate City, and Longport Borough.
Bike lanes will also be installed on Ohio Avenue.
“Ventnor has just added bike lanes on Atlantic Avenue and with the completion of our project, on-street bike lanes will extend over five miles through Absecon Island,” Atlantic City Mayor Frank Gilliam said in a statement.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation awarded Atlantic City a $300,000 grant for the bike path construction.
