Cumberland County College, on May 29th, swept the tournament to claim the Division III World Series title. The national championship win marks the first in Cumberland baseball history. The Dukes finished their 2019 season with an outstanding 47-5 record.

The parade, set for Wednesday, June 19th, starts at 11 a.m. in campus parking Lot A (and will end at the same location.) The Vineland Police, Fire Department and EMS; Millville Police and Fire Department; and Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department will participate in the parade.

Parade route: Departs college parking Lot A and travels south on College Drive, to Delsea Drive, then travels north on Delsea Drive to Sherman Avenue, turns left onto Sherman and makes another left turn onto College Drive, to the second entrance to the CCTEC campus. Once on CCTEC’s campus, the parade will use the bus lane to travel in front of the school where students will be lined up to greet and celebrate the Dukes. The parade will pause briefly to allow Coach Keith Gorman and/or Dr. Shelly Schneider to address the student population. Upon completion of the brief remarks at CCTEC, the parade returns to Cumberland’s parking Lot A.

Following the parade, there will be a short program, beginning at noon, in the campus courtyard in front of the Student Center to congratulate the Dukes on their World Series victory. Speakers will be Dr. Shelly Schneider, Dr. James Piccone, Freeholder Director Joseph Derella, Trustee Chair Donna Perez, and Head Baseball Coach Keith Gorman.

Cumberland County College alum Ahmad Graves-El will serve as the event’s emcee.
